It has often been the case that there are too many thread scraps of similar colors around and it would be nice to have something to organize this mess. Just came up with this temporary paper tray for skeins and thread leftovers. And it turned out to be incredibly convenient.
How to do:
• Ordinary paper sheet (A4 or Letter) fold an accordion 16 times. Also you could just fold it in half four times.
• Refold it so to alternate two valley folds and one mountain fold.
• Make additional folds along the long edges at a distance of the width of one strip, then make here slits on each mountain fold.
• Make diagonal folds in the squares near these slits (from the unbound corner), assemble each cell as a box and fix them with a stapler.
• Additionally fasten each partition with pare of staples.
Profit!
It takes about 5 minutes per tray, although the first one will probably take longer :)
