A small handmade fanart for the HOMM3. Treasure chest made of plastic canvas, emboroided with muline threads, used as a needle pad. Filled by a piece of foam rubber, covered by a piece of felt. The beads and pin heads simulate precious gems.
It was one of my first attempts to make something out of plastic canvas, actually testing the material. It turned out that it is not worth experimenting with adding volume due to repeated stitching on top of the row - the material will deformed. And I also didn't like the way of combining the joints when the parts are cuting by half square by the edges.
